A Message From the Founders

jim_camilleWe moved to 30A in 2011 from Memphis, TN, with our children, Paxton and Elisa. Immediately we saw a major need for a consistent social option for teenagers to build their faith and character.

Then one very special weekend in the spring of 2014 we heard a calling to “stop seeking something that doesn’t exist and to build it instead”. This was the founding moment of The Bridge at 30A.  The beach life presents challenges for all of us but especially for our teens. There is the “vacation mentality” and as adults we think everything is perfect here on 30A. But our teens still have all the normal pressures and negative influences that are only multiplied with the influx of tourists every season.

Immediately we saw a major need for a consistent social option for teenagers to build their faith and character.

The TOP priority for The Bridge is to build social connections and a safe haven for teen believers. The Bridge is all about connecting teens through bible study and social events where they can have fun and meet new friends without the social pressure to drink or use.  It is very important to note that The Bridge is not a part time ministry. The vision we received was to be a full time, independent ministry. We are incredibly blessed to have Nicki Brown as the director of The Bridge at 30A and are very excited to have brought this ministry to our community. We hope you will partner with us by serving, praying, or contributing to the success of The Bridge at 30A.
